Los Angeles, California (The Hollywood Times) 8/1/17 – “I am so grateful that everyone that was involved with the project in every aspect that you can be involved with the aspect of the project, is so incredible and we all love each other so much. We were able to make a movie that I am so proud to be a part of. Proud to tell people to go out and see it and excited for people to see it. I love it and really excited to be a part of it.” Kaitlyn Bausch told The Hollywood Times about her new movie being released, August 1, 2017.
Kaitlyn Bausch, who play Ada Spenser in Pure Country: Pure Heart, said she flew out to LA and did the audition and the next day she went back to do the chemistry reading mix and match, where she read a bunch of different options for several of the characters. Not too long after that, found out she booked it.
Her on screen Sister and co-star Cozy Luehlsdorff (Dolphin Tale & Dolphin Tale 2) had to take a minute and go outside to decide which song they needed to sing for the directors. Cozy asked her if she ever heard of “Daughter of a Working Man” and Kaitlyn said no. So Cozy played it for her and she loved it because it was about a girl singing about her father, so it fit so well and they learned it so fast and went back inside to sing it, and it worked out so well for them.
THT: Was that the first time you met Willie Nelson?
KB: Yes, I wish I could say he is a buddy and we hang out all the time, but that was the first time I met him. He is so cool.
THT: What are you currently working on ?
KB: I’m just keeping myself busy looking for auditions.
THT: What other acting jobs have you done?
KB: I have done “One Life to Live” and various TV shows. I did this show called “Eye Candy” that starred Victoria Justice. I did a show called “One Bad Choice” where I played the lead in an hour long episode named Kaitlyn Hunt, it’s a true story. They take people’s real stories and we recreated them in a storytelling way, rather than just a re-inactment. On ABC I did “What Would You Do” a whole bunch of times with John Quiñones. I have did a crest and Hanes commercial.
THT: Where were you raised?
KB: Born and raised in Long Island, New York and I have done some modeling for children magazine playing with toys and the Crest and Hanes commercials .
I asked if her and Cozy are good friends now and she said “Oh my gosh, yes, we just talked yesterday, so we talk all the time and she is just like my real sister.” We also talked about the pies featured in the movie and she said “you have to love a good pie.”
Kaitlyn Bausch told me the soundtrack is currently available at Wal-Mart as well. We talked about her recording an album and being featured on Nashville. Kaitlyn Bausch loves the town of Nashville and said she recently saw Sam Palladio, who stars on Nashville as Gunnar. They filmed only one day and they passed the Ryman and they were filming Nashville at the Ryman that day. She so wanted to go in and see them.
It was a pleasure speaking with Kaitlyn Bausch, she is wonderful young woman and has a great acting and singing career ahead of her. The Hollywood Times can’t wait to see and hear more of her.
This movie, Pure Country, Pure Heart is truly a family gem. From the opening scene to the closing scene, you will not be disappointed. The location shots are beautiful of the countryside and that of Nashville. Family, friendship, lost love, and learning to talk about it, that is part of this storytelling feature film.
School is about to start, so go out and get the movie and sit down with the kids to show them what love of family means and talk about veterans, since they are featured in this wonderful film. The music is precious, all inspiring too, Kaitlyn and Cozy do a fantastic singing job throughout this film and Willie Nelson plays himself for a great song too.
