Opposite Fox’s NFL game (Packers-Seahawks), ABC posted multiweek highs with winter finales for each of its TGIT dramas, boosting the Net to its best Thursday night in 5 weeks – since 10/11/18.
At 8:00 p.m., ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” grew week to week in Total Viewers (+11% – 7.3 million vs. 6.6 million) and Adults 18-49 (+6% – 1.7/7 vs. 1.6/7), hitting a new season high in viewers and a best-since-premiere young adult number (since 9/27/18).
At 9:00 p.m., ABC’s “Station 19” took the entertainment lead in the hour over CBS’ comedies by 9% in Adults 18-49 (1.2/5 vs. 1.1/4 for “Mom”/”Murphy Brown”). The ABC sophomore drama surged from the prior week by 16% in Total Viewers (5.9 million vs. 5.1 million) and by 20% in Adults 18-49 (1.2/5 vs. 1.0/4), scoring the series’ 2nd highest numbers ever, behind only its crossover episode with “Grey’s” 5 weeks ago on 10/11/18.
In the 10 o’clock hour, ABC’s “How to Get Away with Murder” posted week-to-week gains with Total Viewers (+7% – 3.2 million vs. 3.0 million) and Adults 18-49 (+14% – 0.8/3 vs. 0.7/3), drawing its largest audience in 5 weeks (since 10/11/18) and tying its season high with young adults.
