Los Angeles, CA, (The Hollywood Times) 1/22/2020-“Just to come out here and see the smiles on the kids’ faces and the impact it might have – it’s fun to be a part of.” Alex Verdugo, Dodger’s player

A new year and a new decade has caused some to stop and ponder what it all means, but not so with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The major league organization hit the ground running with their 17th annual Dodgers Love LA Community Tour which runs from January 20th – January 28th.
Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour presented by Bank of America, is an extended week of community outreach and fan appreciation.

Happy Birthday!

Gifts, games, music, fun, and cake. It’s a win, win for all in attendance.

The Dodgers teamed up with Worthy of Love, a non-profit organization, and held a birthday celebration for children experiencing homelessness in downtown Los Angeles.

During the regular season, the Dodgers’ Stadium Club is set aside for those looking to experience a Dodgers game at another level and Tuesday’s birthday celebration for two hundred+ children ranging in age from birth to teenage years was no different. As the young people arrived and entered the Stadium Club doors, they and their family members were greeted by two long lines of cheering Worthy of Love and Bank of America volunteer greeters. Cheers, clapping, and warm inviting smiles were all in efforts to make each and everyone who entered the doors feel wanted and appreciated.

Each guest received a light grey Dodgers’ baseball cap before entering the dining room to enjoy pizza, provided by California Pizza Kitchen, Dodger dogs, drinks, cookies and of course birthday cake.

Dodgers’ players Alex Verdugo and Matt Beaty were on hand to celebrate with the kids and help present the non-profit organization, Worthy of Love, with a check for $5,000 from the Dodger’s organization.

The two hour party was filled with activities such as facing painting, dancing, photo ops, keychain making, stadium tours, and a puppy petting area all to dazzle, engage, and entertain party goers.
