Los Angeles, CA, (The Hollywood Times) 4/10/2020–“ Feeding and serving and helping people… that’s what we do here. Anyone who does not have a mask, we are providing them with a mask.,” said Pastor Matthew Barnett, Co-Founder of The Dream Center

In an effort to alleviate the horror-able affects of COVID-19 on the city of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Dodgers Foundation, iHeartMedia Los Angeles and their partners Farmer John, Frito-Lay and Levy stepped up and provided 4,000 Dodger Dog lunches to The Los Angeles Dream Center, April 10, 2020.

April 10th marked the Dream Center’s 26th day of continual feeding of those in need of help, in Los Angeles, due to Covid-19. From 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. car after car rolled through the feeding line that was set up on the campus of the Dream Center.

Some vehicles held one or two individuals and others were carrying children who were pleasantly surprised to receive a Dodger Dog Lunch, Frito-Lay snacks, and a Dodger tote bag filled with kids’ Dodger jerseys and t-shirts.

As cars drove up to the receiving station, those inside called out how many lunches were needed and Pastor Matthew Barnett gathered the requested amounts of food and personally handed Dodger Dogs and tote bags to them.

The Dodgers and their partners made this a meal and a day to remember as their generous gifts put smiles, behind masks of course, on the faces of all involved.
