Each year Dining Out For Life (DOFL) happens as an annual fundraising event raising money for community-based organizations, like DAP Health, that help people impacted by or living with HIV. Traditionally, on this day participating restaurants donate anywhere from 33% to over 100%+ of daily sales for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or otherwise.
Because of the struggles that many of our restaurants have had this last year with COVID, we have decided that instead of asking for financial support from restaurants we are asking the community to please support locally-owned restaurants by ordering take-out or dining in / eating out on April 29th.
This year for DOFL, there will not be ambassadors at restaurants. If you would like to donate to DAP Health for DOFL this year please click here to make a generous gift today.
It’s time for the 27th Annual Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards! This year we’re doing things a little differently. Instead of gathering under a single roof – we’re gathering in your home, computer, smartphone, or wherever you can view NBC Palm Springs or live stream on any of DAP Health’s social media channels (Facebook, YouTube, or Twitter).
Join host Scott Nevins as we honor women, mothers, and our frontline workers for all that they have done over this past year and the legacy of giving and compassion that they have shown since we first opened our doors. There will be special musical performances by Shoshana Bean and Sheryl Lee Ralph; as well as by Palm Springs local diva Keisha D.
We will also be celebrating our Hope Begins with Health campaign which will make it possible for DAP to double our efforts in providing mental health services, ending the HIV epidemic, providing COVID vaccinations and care, and access to healthcare for those who most need it.
If you have registered for this event already thank you! If you have not registered there is still time to by clicking here.
To all of the restaurants who have signed up to showcase their support for SCHA thank you! If you are a restaurant that wants to be listed as a supporter on May 9 for dine in or take out please click here.
In order to make sure that all of our donors and supporters have access to the most current information in one spot, we have decided to merge the number of social channels we use. Please note that we will be removing DAP Community Action from Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and invite you to follow us now on DAP Health. It’s easy to sign up and stay connected.
Thank you for all of your support to DAP Health. It’s because of your support that we are able to provide health equity to over 8,700 clients in the Coachella Valley.
