“Do you remember where you were on September 11th, 2001?”
“Our country was forever changed and so was I.
Here are my thoughts on that day.”

Do you remember where you were on September 11th, 2001?
Here’s my recount of that day!
I was at the National Science Foundation, 7 miles from the Pentagon. I was working there as a Sybase employee. Someone screamed and we were called into the conference room and saw the horror unfold before us. DC was LOCKED DOWN. No one could get in or out, like the movie 23 Bridges.
I lived in Laurel MD at the time and the drive normally took about 2 hours from Ballston, VA to Laurel. But on that fateful day, we had to drive West on I-66 to the Fairfax connector, down into Woodbridge, VA. Then up I-95 to the Eastern Side of the Beltway, I-495 and home to Laurel. That entire trip took me nearly 6 hours.
When I got home, I noticed something eerie: The birds weren’t chirping and there was not a plane in the sky. For the next three days, we heard no planes.
In 1989 – 1991, I worked at the Navy Command Center (NCC), D-Ring, 4th Floor which was in the path of “whatever” slammed into the Pentagon that fateful day. I still DO NOT believe it was an airplane and yet, there was only one camera working of the 52 that surrounded the Pentagon. We will not go into conspiracy theories here but I worked there and know that building. I was at the Navy Command Center for god’s sakes, with OP/INTEL of the planet!
We should NEVER forget what happened on September 11th, 2001. Please stop and take a moment of silence. God Bless the United States of America, all the first responders and may God continue to protect our troops and Democracy!
