Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 4/14/22 – The Hollywood Times is about to hit a historic milestone. For the first time, we are officially credentialed at the legendary music festival Coachella. And oh, how much there is to see (and hear) at this iconic event.

This year’s festival spans from April 13-24th. Officially dubbed the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, it’s become a major landmark in music; and each year, pop culture reference points come out of it.

There was Beyonce’s unforgettable performance in 2018 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jOSfoVdqSRk; Prince stopped by in 2008 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDP2sVXWHOs ; Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg in 2012 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaEJOl77b7Q ; and the list goes on. So, if you haven’t been to Coachella, can you really call yourself a music lover? Sure, but those who hit the festival are some of the most die-hard music lovers on the planet.

This year, the lineup is already looking as scorching as the desert it occupies. 21 year old Argentine rapper, singer and songwriter, Nicki Nicole https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RG6O-Qq79G0  will be on site for the festivities in Indio. Natanael Cano https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSpQburb0dM  is also scheduled for a performance.

SoCal DJ/electronic music producer duo Derek Andersen and Scott Land https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=2548012301987089 , otherwise known as SLANDER, will be performing on the 24th. Soul-pop band Lawrence https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C01nBm6vV5c will be making their Coachella debut; as will Emo Nite  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-aW5NrAv9Ng.  Rising rock trio Skegss https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2Y_9DeXVf4  slated for performance on April 17th.

And musicians aren’t the only ones planning for a good time. Lay’s (yes, that Lay’s) is offering a multi-sensory tasting experience with sounds, aromas, and visuals.

Lay’s is getting in on the Coachella fun for the first time ever with Lay’s FRESH 4D, an immersive tasting experience unlike anything festival goers have seen before. The multi-sensorial experience will bring together the freshest Lay’s potato chips ever made available to the public with sounds, aromas and visuals inspired by the festival.

At the Lay’s Potadome (on the Coachella campgrounds), enjoy a reservation-booked four-course tasting experience. You’ll get potato chips as fresh as they come, less than a day after they’re created. There will be a music-inspired menu, as well, and the music, sight, scenes, and sounds will bring it all to life through all of your five senses.

88rising welcomes festival-goers to CLOUD MANSION on April 16th – 17th. And a plethora of other social, musical, sensory, fashion, and other experiences will be hitting the desert, as well.

The Hollywood Times will be there covering the event on site. Look for more in the coming days as the festival ramps up.
