Pasadena, CA (The Hollywood Times) 5/15/22 – Even the moon put on a show at the Cruel World festival this weekend.

This weekend was proof that time travel is real as we return to the ’80s for all of our favorite artists presented in a proper venue Pasadena’s Rose bowl is home for many a football extravaganza and Pasadena Rose parade every year and now has a new feather in their tiara.

It was an event of monumental extraordinary pretense bringing us the ’80s favorites who knew the ’80s was 40 years ago did you know I didn’t know I’ve been listening to the song sung by the people that were on stage there for the last 40 years and enjoying them every day. This event was a homage to great music incredible music that is stood the test of time and performers who stand up for their musical beliefs and carry on.

Bauhaus was incredible they stole the show with his delicious dark decadentness. I’ve got to say Blondie was fantastic. She was dancing and coverting a classic beauty and a consummate performer.

45 Grave and Christian death brought back LA’s underground memories as heroes of Gothic scene. Psychedelic furs turned in a stellar performance. The Damned killed it with their plucky exuberance. Devo were quirky and spunky playing all of our favorite hits because it’s a beautiful world at the Cruel World festival.

It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon and a kickoff to an event I will remember all of my life. These artist music stood the test of time and so have they.
