Labor Day Weekend
Sept. 2–5, 2022

Bros, the movie, is debuting at Cinema Diverse on September 15th, a full two weeks ahead of its theatrical release. That’s a big coup for Michael Green and his team who puts on our LGBTQ+ film festival now its 15th year!

Co-writer and star of the movie, Billy Eichner, got into a little hot water today when he dissed streaming content in remarks made in Variety and reported on CNN.

Another film I’m personally excited about is All Man: The International Male Movie, co-directed by my good friend Jesse Finley Reed. It will show twice during the festival starting with the prime slot on Friday, Sept. 16. There are a few Palm Springs connections to the movie, and we’ll have more here and on KGAY 106.5 as the festival draws nearer.

It’s a great weekend for a movie, binge-watching TV or enjoying an indoor meal during the last weekend of Greater Palm Springs’ Summer Eats. My condo association’s pool and spa are basically the same temperature, so there’s little relief from the sun in the water. Cooler days are just around the corner – we hope!
Enjoy this great weekend in #GreaterPalmSprings

BROS-Mobile Tour

A mobile movie theater experience for Universal Pictures’ upcoming RomCom BROS is coming to Palm Springs on Monday, September 5 from Noon–6 pm at Chill Bar at 217 E. Arenas Road. From the ferocious comic mind of Billy Eichner and the hitmaking brilliance of filmmakers Nicholas Stoller and Judd Apatow, comes Bros, a smart, swoony and heartfelt comedy about how hard it is to find another tolerable human being to go through life with. This is the first film with an all LGBTQ+ cast backed by a major movie studio, and it’s your chance to see an exclusive extended preview in a mobile 44-seat movie theater with an 18-foot screen!
