Academy Award winner Gwyneth Paltrow is a second-generation actress whose mother is Tony and Emmy award-winner Blythe Danner. Gwyneth got her start early, appearing at the age of 17 in the TV drama “High,” directed by her father, Bruce Paltrow. Just a year later, she made her stage debut at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, where her mother regularly performed. The versatile blonde grew up in the Los Angeles area, where she attended the prestigious Crossroads High School.
The stunning Santa Monica mansion where Gwyneth spent most of her childhood has recently listed for sale at $17.5 million. Purchased by Bruce and Blythe in 1976 (when Gwyneth was four years old), the home was sold to Jerome Dahan, co-founder of Citizens of Humanity and 7 for All Mankind, in 2008. Extensively remodeled, the residence includes the latest in technology including solar panels, backup generators, security cameras, and electronically gated entries.
