Oscar winner Jamie Lee Curtis joined TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb this morning to celebrate winning her very first Academy Award. “I never thought in a million years that I would have this couple days, and I’m very moved by the whole thing,” she said.

When discussing her Oscars trophy, Curtis revealed, “In support of my daughter Ruby, I’m having them be a they/them. I’m just going to call them ‘them’, they/them. And they are doing great. They are settling in.”

She also discussed the importance of her friends during this time, saying, “You guys [Savannah and Hoda] represent it. It’s what you represent on your show, which is friendship. The truth of the matter is the people I really wanted to thank, and I didn’t, are my friends… So for my friends, and I include you guys in our early morning crew, I am moved by that, that you guys have really wanted this for me.
