Garnering praise from iHeartRadio, DuJour and more, Rhode Island native Jessica Kaela has quickly started making a name for herself in just a few short years. Siri Music Group in partnership with Sony Orchard recently released Jessica’s first single, “Crying,” the first of many to usher in her new sound in the new year.

“Crying’ marks Jessica Kaela’s first release in 2023 and sets the stage for her upcoming EP,” says, Chauncy Jackson, President of Siri Music Group, an Orchard/ Sony Music collective.  Jackson signed Jessica a couple of years back during the heat of the pandemic.  It was not too long after the signing that Jackson and his team decided to take away the name “Zeltzer,” Jessica’s legal last name and go with her first and middle name- Jessica Kaela.

“Crying’ is the most vulnerable song I have ever released, says Jessica. It’s about a very difficult time in my life when I felt very empty, and sharing my most difficult moments through music, comes with many mixed emotions- beautiful and scary. The chorus summarizes it in a nutshell- I don’t have the words and you don’t have to promise, you don’t have a reason to try to be honest… cause you don’t have a conscience, agree you never tried, I don’t know what getting even is, but I have stopped crying. The most powerful thing about this song shows not just the struggle that I went through, but how I came out of it, by learning to love myself. The ending lyrics – …I’m going to make me a promise, you gave me your reasons I guess it’s time to be honest. I hope this song helps others realize they are not alone when going through tough times and heartbreak, and as scary and vulnerable as love can be, you can give yourself the love that you seek from someone else. I want people to feel my music the way it affects me. Songs like ‘Crying’ not only connects with me but also gives hope to those experiencing the same emotions.”

Jessica has been in artist development for the past two years with her record label, mastering her sound and traveling back and forth from NY to LA. She has performed live at iHeart Radio and was featured on many platforms including Maximo TV, Music Choice, Pandora, Teen Music Insider, DuJour Soundbite, BMI Music Monday, FabTV, Billboard in Times Square and LA TV.

Jessica’s EP is planned to be released this fall. The emerging artist shares her voice with feeling, compassion, warmth, and emotion. You will be seeing a lot more of Jessica Kaela as she continues to make a mark for herself and shares her heart with the world.
