Van Nuys, CA (The Hollywood Times) 4/17/23 – Whether you are in a fight with Demogorgons, Demodogs, the Mind Flayer or Vecna himself, one thing is for certain; You will get thirsty. LA–based Bar Owner, Restaurateur and Chef Jason Eisner has teamed up with Stranger Things: The Experience to create the exclusive Palace Arcade Cocktail – named after and inspired by the infamous arcade in Hawkins. The cocktail would no doubt bring Vecna to his knees. (Recipe Below).
Jason is famous for his Instagram able and one-of-a-kind libations and has now brought his talents to Stranger Things. Whether you are re-binging your favorite episodes of the popular series or wanting to put a spin on the tasty treats from the experience, this is the perfect way to celebrate your favorite world and characters.
We have gotten the chance to learn a little bit more about the creative mind behind the infamous cocktail:
Tell me about yourself and how you get into creating cocktails.
I’ve been working behind the stick since 1998 and I’ve run bar programs from Manhattan to Malibu. Literally Coast to coast. I love the community that food and beverages create. It’s truly my passion.
What was your reaction like to hearing that Stranger Things: The Experience wanted to partner up with you to create something special?
As a fan of the show, I was so excited to be a part of Stranger Things: The Experience and inspired to create the Palace Arcade Cocktail. It was a real honor.
What is your favorite drink to make?
My all-time favorite drink to make has to be a Tommy’s Margarita, invented by the legend Julio Bermejo. In my opinion, when a Margarita is well made there is literally nothing better.
Where do you go for a good cocktail when you do not feel like making one yourself?
I love to go corner up at Guelaguetza. They have a great agave spirits collection.
If you were to create another drink based off of another popular show or film, which show, or film would you want it to be?
I’d love to create a cocktail inspired by Mike White’s The White Lotus. I love that show and think that would be fun.
Would you, in the future, release a cookbook or a cocktail book or any food related books?
Absolutely! I’m planning on it! Right now, I’m working on a book pairing cocktails, beer and wine with your favorite snacks from the 1990’s.
