Los Angeles Zoo (The Hollywood Times) 07/19/2023 – Nocturnal Adventures Await Families at Zoo Friday Nights Presented by L.A. Care NOW Through Aug. 18.
Valerie Milano’s introduction to Fright Nights at the LA Zoo:
The Hollywood Times was invited opening night to check all what was in store for those families who came out and will come the next several weeks to enjoy The LA Zoo on a Friday night. What better way to bring the kids out on a Friday night to see all the animals who were out and about since it is cooler than the daytime. So make your plans to attend one of the Friday nights until August 18, you will truly enjoy yourselves.
When we entered, L.A. Care had a booth as was giving away a L.A. Care bag with a aluminum water bottle, sunglasses, hand sanitizer and a small pouch with a couple of band aids, and sting relief pre pad, alcohol prep pad and Antiseptic swab.
You can discover what your favorite animals get up to during the cooler twilight hours. Families can roam the entire zoo until 8 p.m., while enjoying music, a Family Dance Party by GEC Entertainment, games, interactive education stations, and more.
DJ Johnny Hawkes will be spinning genre-blending mashups from the past few decades. Live performance includes nine-member Masanga Marimba Ensemble, who will be playing high-energy, family-oriented traditional and popular music from Africa and Latin America.
Full bars (21+), food truck fare, and carousel rides are available for an additional fee.
This seven-week series runs until Friday, Aug. 18 from 6–9 p.m. For more information on this nighttime series, visit https://lazoo.org/zoofridaynig
