Palm Springs, CA (The Hollywood Times) 3/20/23 – Some 3000 attendees were seeing red in Palm Springs CA, on Saturday, March 18th at the LGBTQ Community Center’s Red Dress Dress Red Event. The Center of the Deserts’ crimson evening, which had huge aspirations to raise funds for their provided services, entertained thousands with dance and live entertainment during the 3-hour event.

The Center that prides itself on being a safe haven for its LGBTQ community was the host of a red-hot dance floor as Red Dress guests danced the night away- for a good cause- in style! The Red Dress Dress Red guests, sponsors such as The Hollywood Times, and other donors were able to raise just shy of $200,000.00. With values like Integrity, Joy, and equity, the raised proceeds will allow the Center to continue doing the great work for their city with their foundational values leading their outreach.

Benefitting services of the Dress Red event were:

  • Behavioral Health Clinic @ The Center offers low-cost individual, couples, family, and group therapy options to the LGBTQ community through a clinical internship program. Clinicians use evidence-based techniques that can help clients face life’s challenges, learn new skills, and make lasting positive changes.

The Community Food Bank is open every Thursday evening throughout the year to offer free groceries in a clean, safe, no-contact setting and we serve over 250 families weekly.
