The Blue Card to Hold Benefit to Aid Holocaust Survivors With Host Andy Cohen

The Blue Card, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to aiding Holocaust survivors, will host its 83rd benefit gala on Monday, April 8, 2019, at the Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust in New York City.

The event will be hosted by Andy Cohen, the Emmy Award-winning television producer and author best known as the host and executive producer of Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.”

Stars Attend 2019 Griot Gala Toast To Diversity And Inclusion

Los Angeles-based AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), a global nonprofit organization providing cutting-edge medicine, advocacy to over 1 million people in 43 countries and largest provider of HIV/AIDS medical care in the U.S, served as the charity partner onboard.

Shaquille O’Neal Wants African Americans To Get Real About Heart Failure

Arbor Pharmaceuticals, LLC, a U.S.-based specialty pharmaceutical company, today announced the launch of the Shaquille Gets Real About Heart Failure campaign, a national educational initiative designed to raise awareness around the heart failure disparity in the African American community and ways to manage this condition.

Though he does not have heart failure himself, Shaquille O’Neal (Shaq), recognized around the world as a Basketball Hall of Famer, is partnering with Arbor Pharmaceuticals to help spread the word that every African American needs to take this disease seriously.

Holland America Line Bestows Shared Humanity Award to Oprah Winfrey

At a special gathering on board Nieuw Statendam following the special Girls’ Getaway sailing in partnership with O, The Oprah Magazine, Holland America Line bestowed its Shared Humanity Award on Oprah Winfrey — philanthropist, global media leader and founder and editorial director of the magazine.

At the event, Holland America Line presented a $40,000 donation to the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa to commemorate the award and honored her as official godmother of the new ship.

Spotlight: Sarah McLachlan’s Charity Work

Kept her World On Fire video simple, and donated $150,000, the money that would normally be needed to make a music video, to a variety of charities.

In addition to her personal artistic efforts, she founded the Lilith Fair tour showcasing female musicians which raised over $7 million for local and national charities over its 3 years and in 2002 founded her non-profit organization the Sarah McLachlan School of Music. The school provides free afterschool music education for at-risk and underserved kids who otherwise would have no access to music programming. From an early age, music provided Sarah with the tools she needed to navigate the challenges she faced in her life so she recognizes how important it is for every child to have those same opportunities.

Race to Erase MS is dedicated to the treatment and ultimate cure of Multiple Sclerosis. Funding research is the core focus of the Foundation and all funds raised support our Center Without Walls program, a selected network of the nation’s top MS research centers. This nationwide collaboration of physicians and scientists are on the cutting-edge of innovative research programs, working as a team on therapeutic approaches to eradicate MS. In addition to combating MS through research in a clinical environment, they hope to increase awareness by educating the public about this mystifying disease.
