Los Angeles, California (The Hollywood Times) 10/01/2020 – The House of iKons digital fashion show was certainly, iKonic. It was filled with glamour, creativity, and optimism for the future. “I have stated this time and time again, that fashion plays a big part in our mental health. If we look good, we feel good. Our confidence increases and there is a positive impact on our personal and professional lives. I truly believe that the silver lining from this pandemic that the emerging creatives will do well. As consumers will still want to buy beautiful fashionable pieces, which are sustainable, unique, and affordable. It’s time for our iKons to be noticed and start taking over the market. They will become profitable and established businesses.- Savita Kaye, CEO House of iKons

House of iKons Fashion Week London live shows have pulled in over 1,000 people per day in attendance, with private clients, buyers, department stores and boutiques, also in attendance high net worth guests.

Their designers have platformed worldwide, and working with celebrities such as Jlo, Katy Perry, Michelle Obama, Beyoncé, and many more which can be seen on their social media and various press. Designers have also been selected from the shows to be wardrobe designs for feature films.

For this digital show, the CEO, Savita Kaye, wanted to do something different. She wanted to focus on the creative process and the ‘labor of love’ behind the scenes, and how these amazing designers go through that process. To take the audience into their creative world. Making this personal with the audience. Designers featured on the digital platform will also be exhibiting at the live shows in 2021. Also, a few iKonic designers were invited back to talk about their journey from the House of iKons platform to their amazing successes today. Our show was streamed via YouTube and various social media platforms. The digital show can still be viewed on our House of iKons YouTube Channel.

There were changes due to COVID-19. Share your thoughts.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, various industries around the world have had to change their businesses to online and digital platforms. Fashion is no different. Many of the fashion weeks around the world were affected as ‘Live’ shows with the buzz of the audience, buyers and press could not be in attendance. All industries are going through major changes, restructures. Consumers may not have the high disposable incomes that they are used too to purchase high-end designer brands (as the big brands are feeling the pinch too!) But one thing I do know, people around the world still want to look good in what they wear. I have stated this time and time again, that fashion plays a big part in our mental health. If we look good, we feel good. Our confidence increases and there is a positive impact in our personal and professional lives. I truly believe that the silver lining from this pandemic that the emerging creatives will do well. As consumers will still want to buy beautiful fashionable pieces, which are sustainable, unique, and affordable. It’s time for our iKons to be noticed and start taking over the market. They will become profitable and established businesses.

What impressed you the most?

Doing the digital show was surreal on so many levels. Not being able to see and meet ALL our iKons from stylists, HMUA Teams, Production, models, and our creatives broke my heart. But how these amazing iKons came together for this digital show and presented was iKonic! My love and respect for you all is so immense I have no words.

The feedback on the digital show has been amazing. We are already being contacted for press and tv channels for this show and our 2021 shows.

Tell us about “Mini iKons.”  Was this the first show to feature these designs?

We are proud and honored that these amazing collections for children launched our platform. During lockdown, it didn’t stop our iKonic designers and our mini iKons. In preparation for the digital show, some amazing editorial shoots took place early summer 2020.

Are you noticing any trends?

The main new trends will be released with a big bang in our February 2021 shows.

We want to keep a little suspense till then.

What is your hope for the show?

This year, 2020, has been a rollercoaster ride in so many ways. With preparation

underway for the 2021 shows, we will be launching some amazing designers from around the world, new trends, and we are finalizing a special ‘VR’ segment which we are in discussions with a large ‘Tech’ company. We will make sure that 2021 will be iKonic in every day!
