Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 11/16/20 – It continues to look as if 2020 will be the crap year all crap years are measured against. Give Lifetime credit for swimming against the tide this Holiday season to give a tired viewership some undiluted Holiday spirit to the tune of 30 new Holiday premiers; 14 of those produced post-Covid.

The poetically named Lifetime AVP, Amy Winter announced four more made for Lifetime holiday premiers:

Too Close for Christmas

The Christmas High Note

Christmas at The Castle

My Sweet Holiday

Michael Xavier as Duncan and Tiya Sircar as Ashley star in Christmas on Wheels

The entire Lifetime holiday schedule is loaded with all the trimmings, with an accent on diversity, love, family, and escapism. Just what we need during these winter days of living dangerously.

Lifetime assembled an impressive panel of women (Tiya Sircar, AnnaLynn McCord, Carly Hughes, Melissa Joan Hart, and Jacky Lai) to discuss Lifetime’s commitment to a happy, upbeat, and diverse holiday season. Many charming anecdotes and memories were shared, as well as some hot tips on the best places to find ugly Christmas sweaters.

Carly Hughes

Carly Hughes lamented her inability to be with her mother to share their ritual of watching holiday movies together but was thankful for her opportunity to still visit with her mom in her living room through her participation as an actress in a Holiday movie.

Melissa Joan Hart reaffirmed Lifetime as a safe space to escape the brutal realities of 2020. A politics-free zone to lose yourself in a good story and somehow feel that everything is still OK.

AnnaLynn McCord talked about the mixed blessing of growing up poor and the magic of a Dollar Store Christmas experience.

Jacky Lai talked about diversity in programming, reminding us that all cultures celebrate the holidays.

In a world going mad from Isolation and fear, Lifetime offers a quality binge-watching experiencer full of love, acceptance, and good old-fashioned holiday cheer.
