Donors Will Receive Pass to Visit Magic Castle as Guest in Future

HOLLYWOOD — Feb. 10, 2021 — For Immediate Release — The Academy of Magical Arts is making its upcoming Red Cross blood drive as easy as abracadabra by having magicians perform for people who are donating at the AMA’s world-famous, private clubhouse, The Magic Castle.

“We still give donors an orange … we just make it appear out of thin air,” laughs Director of Events, Ben Roman. “It’s just a great way for us to give back to the community and to encourage others to do so as well. And we can all use a little magic these days.”

In addition to being entertained, all donors will receive a complimentary COVID-19 antibodies test result, a pass to return to The Magic Castle as a guest when the club re-opens according to Pandemic guidelines and magic swag.

All appropriate COVID-19 precautions and safety protocols will be in place, including one-way traffic, distancing, limited capacity, masks required, temperatures taken, contact tracing.

About the Academy of Magical Arts:

The of Magical Arts (AMA) is a unique non-profit. Its membership—including the world’s most pre-eminent and celebrated magicians and illusionists—lives by the “Magic First” creed, devoted to the advancement of the art of magic and preserving its history.  Its headquarters and private clubhouse, the Magic Castle, has been an internationally revered gathering place for the magic brotherhood since opening its doors in 1963.  Located in historic Hollywood in an elegant, Victorian-era mansion, the Castle is an experience within itself—a remarkable meeting spot that captures a lost era and is timeless in its appeal, having hosted generations of magic enthusiasts from around the globe, as well as show biz elite from Cary Grant, Tony Curtis, Johnny Carson, Neil Patrick Harris and Jason Alexander (all performing members) to Katy Perry and Johnny Depp, among many others. The Magic Castle was founded by writer, actor, magician and entrepreneur Milt Larsen and his late brother, Bill Larsen, Jr.  Visit us online at: www.MagicCastle.com
