Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 10/16/2021 – “Stop and Go” starring Mallory Everton, and Whitney Call, brings everything that you could possibly want in a film. Traveling across the country, Blake, and Jaime, must save their grandmother from her current nursing home. As they embark on their journey, they meet plenty of obstacles to persuade them to give up. What makes this story different than most, is how much of it, was filmed within the car. This adds a degree of difficulty to bringing the characters to screen. Even though we spend the majority of our time inside of the car, it doesn’t feel contained. With incoming facetime calls, angry motorcyclist, sticky situations, and an amazing playlist, each part of this film exceeds fluidity. Instead of the movie being solely based on covid, it truly relies on the aspect of family, friends, and loyalty. This makes watching the film all even better. The ride you take with both Blake, and Jaime, feels more like a podcast. Or, maybe even a family trip. One in which you find out how much you are willing to do for the ones you love. In summary, “Stop and Go”, is one of the most entertaining movies I have watched! Comedy is an understatement. A statement that both Mallory Everton, and Whitney Call, over exceeded.
